Lovewise was founded in 2002 by two paediatric doctors and a secondary head teacher. Resources have been developed from a Christian perspective on the subjects of marriage and sex, with an emphasis upon the wisdom and benefits of saving sex for lifelong matrimony. All resources have been written by health professionals with input from parents and teachers, and include books, DVDs and PowerPoint presentations. Volunteer presenters can visit schools both primary and secondary to give presentations, or teachers can use the materials as required.

Written by two doctors and published in partnership with Evangelical Press, with approximate recommended ages: girls 9-13 years, boys 10-14 years, this book will help young people understand the changes that take place in their bodies and minds during puberty and how to deal with them. It explains why these changes happen and looks at God’s design for relationships and marriage. All the topics are covered from a Biblical perspective and encourage young people to face the opportunities and challenges of puberty in a way that honours God.
There are separate versions available for girls and boys.
‘Marriage’ explores the key elements of marriage, including the vows and the purpose of marriage. It also covers the Bible’s teaching about sex and the benefits of saving sex for marriage. It concludes with practical advice on going out. The topics in the DVD are helpfully illustrated by interviews with couples and individuals who discuss their thoughts and experiences first-hand, making this an engaging and valuable resource for the classroom. It also includes a teacher’s resource book with photocopiable opening and response activities.

Resource includes a disc with a visual presentation. Background scientific and medical information and personal stories are also included.
