A Fertile Heart is a faith inspired programme of study that offers schools, especially those with a strong Christian identity, a new way of approaching Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education [RHSE]. Its vision is to provide an inspiring and dynamic programme for the spiritual, moral, emotional and intellectual development of young people, that enables them to fully appreciate and understand what makes life-enriching relationships.
The programme does this by teaching our young people that true freedom is much more than the mere freedom to choose, but the real and authentic freedom to choose well. Developed to cover the main areas of the DfE statutory guidance, the content can enhance and embellish existing PSHE provision, reinforcing personal development, growth in character, mutual respect, compassion and patience.
In addition to carefully designed teacher manuals for primary phase and pupil books for secondary phase, online resources will range from training videos to lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations with accompanying guidance for teachers.
